Microsoft Maquette is a brand new VR tool from Microsoft which is all about prototyping spatial designs. Maquette appeared quite suddenly this week, apparently without any official announcement from Microsoft; it seems to have been picked up by MSPoweruser after being spotted by twitter user WalkingCat. Despite popping up out of nowhere, the tool looks like a quite polished first attempt even though it’s initially launching as a closed beta.

Do you know Google Spotlight Stories? If not, well, you should. It is a small R&D lab on creative projects hosted by Google that is focused on creating original VR storytelling experiences. At View Conference 2018 , I’ve heard the talk of Jan Pinkava, that is the director of Google Spotlight Stories’s experiences (apart from being the co-director of Ratatouille and a winner of an Oscar prize), that has detailed the creative process behind their work.

Multiverse Entertainment announced that Seeking Dawn (2018) , the multiplayer sci-fi shooter adventure, is heading to Steam and the Oculus Store with a new free to play edition on November 1st. Seeking Dawn puts you in the boots of a space marine who’s assigned to carry out a search and rescue mission on a mysterious alien planet—pretty standard pretense for a sci-fi RPG shooter.
