The news of the day is that finally we do know something about the upcoming Vive Focus 6 DOF Controllers dev-kit specifications. If you don’t know what I’m talking about: well, the Vive Focus is the standalone headset produced by HTC. It features 6 DOF tracking, but the associated controller is only one and has only 3DOF rotational tracking.

Snapchat continues to deepen its roster of clients adopting its Shoppable AR Lens, with clothing giant Levi's and Disney becoming the latest brands to try on the e-commerce platform for size. Accessible via a Snapcode posted on Twitter and on display in the Disney Springs Levi's store, the augmented reality experience places a virtual rendering of a Mickey Mouse denim cap, with a smile from the user triggering a background and foreground effects within the frame.

FundamentalVR, the training and data analysis technology platform, today announced a three-year deal to jointly develop surgical VR simulation and education products with Mayo Clinic, the world-renowned academic medical center. FundamentalVR has also raised an additional $1.4 million in financing by its existing investor Tern Plc , bringing its total to $2.45 million.
