Those in the US will have to wait until late November to get their hands on the new Quest. To no one’s surprise, pre-orders for the recently announced Oculus Quest 2 VR headset are already backordered on the official Oculus website. Those in the US who’ve yet to reserve their headset, whether it be the 64GB or 256GB model, will now have to wait until Monday, November 2nd , three weeks after the original October 13th release date.

Microsoft’s acquisition will cost a reported $7.5 billion. Microsoft has announced plans to acquire American video game holding company ZeniMax Media, owner of numerous high-profile game publishers, for a reported $7.5 billion. This includes Arkane Studios ( Dishonored , Prey ), id Software ( DOOM, Quake, Wolfenstein 3D ), Tango Gameworks ( The Evil Within ), mobile game publisher Alpha Dog ( Monstrocity: Rampage!

It’s come to light that Lemnis Technologies, a startup creating varifocal optics for use in VR headsets, has reportedly been absorbed by Facebook in an ‘acqui-hiring’ move. Lemnis co-founder and CEO Pierre-Yves Laffont released a blog post in mid-August stating that the company would be “embarking on a new adventure,” however at time it was unclear what that would mean for the Singapore-based startup.
