Everyone’s favorite kid-friendly metaverse is supposedly getting an official VR release on the Meta Quest 2. A new rumor has begun circulating that Roblox will soon be available on the Meta Quest 2, offering you the chance to explore the uber-popular online game platform in VR without the need for a VR-ready PC. The report comes from Bloxy News , an online news source dedicated to all things Roblox.

Since the battery of my previous laptop was growing in size transforming it into a timebomb, I got a new one (also thanks to my friends at Ristband !). It has not cutting-edge specs, but it features an RTX2080 Super which is still able to do a great job with most XR applications (unless you want to use a Varjo XR-3 ), so I was happy of getting it. I was only concerned by the fact that it run Windows 11 , but my colleagues that already made the update told me not to worry, because Windows 11 work

The company also announced an “AR Jam” developer contest, as well as other details about their roadmap for internally produced content. A Valve design patent filing may reveal its rumored ‘Deckard’ headset. Valve Index , the company’s $999 tethered PC VR kit, has now been on the market for almost three years. It still has best-in-class tracking and audio quality but its 1600×1440 resolution has been surpassed on both the low end with Quest 2 and the high end with headsets like HTC’s Vive Pro 2 and Varjo Aero.

Japan's parliament has passed legislation that makes "online insults", or cyberbullying, punishable by imprisonment. The amendment to the country's penal code will go into effect this summer. People accused of online insults could face imprisonment for up to one year or a fine of 300,000 yen (about $2,200). Beforehand, the punishment for online insults was far lighter: People found guilty could face detention for up to 30 days or a fine of 10,000 yen ($75).

At its 2022 Technology Symposium, TSMC formally unveiled its N2 (2 nm class) fabrication technology, which is slated to go into production some time in 2025 and will be TSMC's first node to use their nanosheet-based gate-all-around field-effect transistors (GAAFETs). Competitive VR shooter Alvo will be released on Sony’s new PSVR 2 headset. Developer Mardonpol recently confirmed as much to UploadVR. There’s currently no date for the new version of the game but, then again, PSVR 2 itself currently doesn’t have a release date. We also don’t know if the game will be a free upgrade for those that already own it on the original PSVR.
