Based on the number of downloads from PlayStation Store (and not total revenue), the list gives us a good idea of what’s been popular with PSVR owners this past year. 2017’s Top 10 Most Downloaded PSVR Games. 1 in January's PSVR 2 download charts. Sony announced its first PlayStation Store charts for 2024, revealing January's top downloads on PS4, PS5, PSVR and PSVR 2. Otherwise, Pavlov , which was recently named the most downloaded PSVR 2 game of 2023 , came third in Europe. Beat Saber reclaimed no.1 9 in Europe.

Beat Saber, VR’s favorite block-slashing rhythm game, came to PlayStation VR 2 well past the headset’s February 2023 launch, coming to Sony’s latest VR headset in late May. In PlayStation’s June top downloads list , Beat Saber has made out as the top PSVR 2 download again.

In the latest PlayStation Store charts , Sony confirmed February 2024's top downloads on PS4, PS5, PSVR and PSVR 2. The top three were followed by Arizona Sunshine 2 , Ultrawings 2 , Pavlov - the most downloaded PSVR 2 game of 2023 , and more. Otherwise, there aren't many surprises this time.

Sony today released the monthly download rankings for PSVR. Coming as no surprise to anyone, the hit block-slashing rhythm game Beat Saber (2018) has again placed at the number one spot this past month, putting it now six months in a row as the top downloaded game on the platform. Job Simulator. Superhot VR.

With a plug-and-play install base of around 50 million PS4s, and the monolithic might of Sony behind it, it was the best bet the VR industry had.

Sony is closing its Manchester, UK-based studio, the very same that was opened in 2015 to produce ‘AAA’ PSVR exclusives. Sony had posted job vacancies for their Manchester Studio up until its closure, with one such listing announced last month for UI Artist.
