Oculus Quest Welcome Video & Setup Guide Have Leaked Online

Corgi’s are a major safety hazard in this leaked video for the Oculus Quest.

Thanks to a series of videos posted online by YouTuber user NyanBlade, it appears as though we now have our first look at the opening welcome video and setup guide for the upcoming Oculus Quest.

The “Welcome Video”, while brief, showcases the basic functionality of the Quest’s 6DoF room-scale tracking technology. One shot features a user clearing a room of children and animals before entering VR, while another shows them narrowly avoiding a painful collision with an adorable corgi thanks to the headsets chaperone system.

The “setup” video, on the other hand, looks to be guiding users through the initial pairing process. It shows the Oculus Quest being plugged into power via a USB-C cable, and then being activated by holding down the power button for 2-seconds.

The rest of the video appears to show the Bluetooth and WiFi connectivity alongside Touch controllers and a WiFi router respectively. It’s a safe bet the final versions of these videos will include audio instructions layered over the visuals for a more detailed explanation.

According to NyanBlade, the two clips are accessible as in-app data via the Oculus app APK. Users simply need to extract the APK and head to the following locations:
