Tracking has been switched to inside-out , and Varjo now provides a set of controllers, manufactured by Razer, together with the headset. Some extras can also be bought: for instance, the faceplate for SteamVR tracking costs €1000. There is a lot of new to try in this device.

It is relevant that for the first time, a Varjo headset is adding integrated audio and integrated controllers. The headset works out-of-the-box with inside-out tracking, but an add-on for SteamVR is available. The headset is on sale in three flavors: The standard one, priced at €3,990.

Sensics, who is a co-founder of Razer’s OSVR initiative, has naturally used the foundation of the OSVR HDK2 headset in creating the Goggles for Public VR. There’s also a pair of fans to prevent fogging, and an optional integrated Leap Motion module built into the headset for hand interactions without the need for controllers.
