Virtuix, the creator of the Omni One VR treadmill, announced it now has a lineup of 35 games ready for the device’s broader launch later this year, including some big ones.

Omni One was originally pitched in a crowd-based investment campaign in 2020, but is now slated to arrive to customers sometime in Q2 2024, bringing the at-home version of its VR treadmill to non-investor enthusiasts for the first time.

We say ‘at-home’ version and not consumer version because the unit costs $2,595 (plus shipping). This admittedly comes with a fully-inclusive, full-body VR experience thanks to the unit itself in addition to the included Pico 4 Enterprise headset, as well as dedicated game store with titles optimized for Omni One.

    Where’s Job Simulator??

  • Christian Schildwaechter

There are already a large number of hilarious videos showing people running away in scary VR games, including some from the location based 4-player Omniarena. youtube_com/shorts/4DdFmv4qqS0

I hope we get another round of people sprinting away in Affected, only this time not hitting the wall and hurting themselves or the equipment in the process.

    DOA

No skyrimvr? Honestly I’d get this if I had room, but I don’t atm. Maybe in the future

    • Christian Schildwaechter

All the games listed above are for standalone HMDs, while Skyrim VR is only available for PSVR/PCVR. You can stream SteamVR to the included Pico 4 with VirtualDesktop, so playing Skyrim with e.g. Natural Locomotion on the Omni One shouldn’t be a problem.

      From the Omni FAQ:

Can I play SteamVR games with Omni One?

Yes, Omni One will support a PC connection to play PC-based games via SteamVR and any VR headset that’s compatible with PC.

I see, thanks. If you can use any PCVR game with it, why does the article leave out that important piece of information? I hope virtuix didn’t pay them for this article, it’s not advertised very well.

This press release is focused on our launch lineup, which we are very excited about. We will certainly talk more about our PCVR emulation in a future update.

  • Sorry, but isn’t it the Pico THREE for Enterprise?

    • Christian Schildwaechter

They upgraded the included headset. While a lot of the promo material still shows the Pico 3, the specs on the Omni website now show/list a “customized Pico 4 Enterprise”.

Same as for Magic Leap : how Virtuix didn’t went bankrupt yet…
