When we have these developments that we do together we say ‘Now that we have this technology we can do this with it to make it more efficient.’ In fact, the last time that Dispelix talked to ARPost it was to announce a partnership with light engine manufacturer Avegant. Waveguides are not a new technology, per se. Waveguide displays are made using the same technology that allows a unidirectional wave of light to be guided down a fiber optic cable. Dispelix of Finland has not only produced a surface relief waveguide, they’ve made a significant contribution to the manufacturing process.
