Episode 0 - AR/VR Magazine is now robotspaceship Magazine!
Robotspaceship Magazine (formerly AR/VR Magazine) is an industry-leading (English and German language) B2B publication & podcast offering news, trends, resources, and analysis of emerging technology, innovation, disruption, and how it affects the economy, business, society and culture.
For those of you who have been previous followers of the AR/VR Magazine podcast:
There have been a lot of HUGE advancements in technology over the years since AR/VR Magazine first launched in 2017. Quite simply, too many to fit into the narrow spectrum of just augmented reality or virtual reality. AI, blockchain, the metaverse, mixed reality, spatial computing, etc... how do all of these things relate to each other in today's digital world?
To address all of this new, complex digital spaghetti, we needed to change, we needed to evolve. We felt it was time for a new name to address a much broader focus.
At the same time, our parent company, robotspaceship, was going through a state of evolution itself. So instead of creating a whole, new, duplicate publication, we decided to merge the two into a much stronger, cohesive brand.
To address these changes, the new name, and the new format, your host Sean Earley is joined by the CEO of robotspaceship, DR. Oliver Kemmann, to discuss this exciting new phase in the company.
We hope you embrace the new evolution of the brand with us and join us on this new adventure!

In today’s episode, we talk to Pete Morrison who is the CCO of Bohemia Interactive Simulations - the developers of simulation training solutions for defense and civilian organizations, to talk about what’s in store for the enterprise and military simulation industries

Episode #8 – Marvel Studios’ Eternals: AR Story Experience
In this episode of the AR/VR Magazine Podcast, I review the new Marvel Studios’ Eternals: AR Story Experience.
Today, as a promotion for Marvel’s upcoming November 5th movie release, “Eternals,” Marvel Studios launched its first augmented reality story experience – Eternals: AR Story Experience App for iOS.
Yesterday, I had a chat with the team at Marvel Studios, who were kind enough to give me an advanced sneak peek at the app which offers a guided augmented reality / mixed reality tour allowing users to explore the film’s characters and storyline.
The app, which took 2 years of development, was built using Apple’s ARKit and features some pretty impressive volumetric video capture of actress Lia McHugh’s character Sprite, which makes her appear in your viewing space.
If you are a Marvel fan, you will definitely want to check this one out!

Episode #7 - Facebook Announces 10k New EU Jobs to Build the Metaverse
In today’s episode of the AR/VR Magazine Podcast, I discuss the latest announcement that Facebook will be creating 10k jobs in the European Union over the next 5 years to build the Metaverse.
I will be sharing my thoughts one this as well as touching on some additional rumors that Facebook may be announcing a company name change in the next couple of weeks.
Correction:
In the podcast, I said that the term “Metaverse” was based on the book “Ready Player One” by Ernest Cline. It was actually based on the book: “Snow Crash” by Neal Stephenson. Both books are equally relevant regarding the topic, however. I read them both at the same time, so I always mix them up.
