My experience in that Unity-based living room and other demos, using what Varjo is calling the “20/20” prototype, shows that they are working in the right direction.

And while Unreal Engine already supports OpenXR, Unity is a bit lagging, but support is coming in 2021. And it could finally make us reach a point where an app built for a device will work on all devices , making the life of us developers easier… …until Apple arrives with a competing standard, of course.
