RealMax's AR and VR device with hand tracking by Leap Motion and an epic 102-degree field of view, was used for a multiplayer AR game which involved grabbing fish and knocking over boxes. AWE is a snapshot of a developing industry, though it does not have participation from major players with developer conferences of their own.

I think that Gartner was not referring to the consumer market, where VR is still unripe (even if devices like the Oculus Quest and the Vive Focus Plus are helping it in becoming more widespread), but at the B2B one, where VR is already helping companies to spare money (e.g. Header image by Leap Motion).

Oculus products have gone pretty well during the Black Weekend. Past weekend has been the weekend of the Black Friday and Cyber Monday and the company that has dominated the sales of VR hardware has been of course Oculu s, thanks to the discounts on Rift S and Go and the great reputation of the Oculus Quest. Well, here you are!

Oculus Go launch. We all knew that Oculus Go would have been launched at F8 and this has been the case. And not only online on Oculus website, but also on Amazon and Best Buy supermarkets : before the conference, lots of people started posting on Reddit the pictures of the Go being already inside Best Buy shopping centers.
