It's been four years since we survived the Teddy Perkins nightmare of Season 2, but now the third season of Atlanta is here.

Since 2016, Donald Glover's exceptional FX dramedy, renowned for its vignette style, has been must-watch TV. Director Hiro Murai, who was at the helm for most of Seasons 1 and 2 along with Glover himself, is back in charge for Season 3, with an incredible lineup of writers: Stephen Glover is back, joined by Janine Nabers, Taofik Kolade, Francesca Sloane, Jamal Olori, and Ibra Ake.

The last we saw of Earn Marks (Glover) and his cousin Alfred "Paper Boi" Miles (Bryan Tyree Henry), and friend Darius Epps (Lakeith Stanfield), (spoiler alert) they were packing up and about to head off on Paper Boi's breakthrough European tour supporting Clark County (RJ Walker) — and Alfred was weighing up Earn's future as his manager. If you watched the final ep, you might remember the unbelievably tense scene in which Earn realised he still had a certain gold-plated gun on him as the three were about to pass through security, threatening to jeopardize his whole future. Alfred saw Earn place it in Clark's bag, and this actually brings them closer together and reaffirms Alfred's trust in Earn as his manager.

In Season 3, we'll find Alfred, Earn, and Darius in France — the crew shot Season 3 in London, Paris, and Amsterdam. Zazie Beetz also returns as Earn's ex Van Keefer, who last season left Earn and told him she wanted to move in with her mother and their daughter, Lottie (Mia Atehortua).
