Gizmodo reporter Shoshana Wodinsky also joins us to talk about the Facebook Papers and why the Meta name change may possibly be related to the leaked docs. Shosh explains what we’ve learned about Facebook’s algorithms and what you can do if you’re deeply embedded in Facebook, Instagram, or WhatsApp (because quitting isn’t so easy for everyone).
But it’s not all serious. We’ll take a moment to fangirl about the Peloton bike, while acknowledging it is indeed a cult, and also chat about the new Peloton Tread and what the company can do to restore its image after its disastrous handling of the Tread+ recall.
We created this podcast because tech coverage has historically been homogenous and targeted toward a specific audience, particularly in podcasting. Enthusiasm for technology and gadgets is no longer an exclusive club.
