Get your hands on a limited edition MrBeast t-shirt for your Rec Room avatar.

Just a few months into 2022 and Rec Room is already making waves with a series of major partnerships. Today we learned that the popular VR social platform is teaming up with MrBeast, a popular YouTuber and philanthropist best known for his expensive stunts and generous giveaways.

From now until May 1st, players who log into Rec Room will score a killer MrBeat t-shirt for their Rec Room avatars for the low price of $0.00. There’s no challenge to complete or newsletter to sign up for. Simply visit Rec Room on your favorite VR headset or any other compatible gaming device to secure your virtual apparel.

As previously mentioned, this partnership is just the latest in a series of high-profile collaborations with big-name brands. Earlier this month the game’s developer Against Gravity Corp. announced that it is teaming up with the National Basketball Association (NBA) for a special in-game event taking place throughout the 2022 NBA postseason. LeBron James even stopped by at one point to interact directly with fans in-game.

As the popularity surrounding metaverse experiences continues to grow, we can expect to see partnerships such as these continue to develop between developers and major brands and corporations. Last month the popular fast-food chain Wendy’s launched its own virtual world inside Meta’s (formerly Facebook) own VR social platform Horizon Worlds. Nike has also gotten in on the action with its own Nikeland virtual world built inside the popular children’s game Roblox.

No doubt what we’re seeing is just the beginning of a new era in virtual brand partnerships.
