SAVE $70: The Beats Powerbeats Pro wireless earbuds are on sale for $179.95 — that's 28% off their usual cost. If you're in the market for some powerful new earbuds, it doesn't get much better than these.

There's nothing wrong with being an AirPods super fan. There's a lot to love about them. But for those who have some qualms with the slippery, trendy buds, the Beats Powerbeats Pro wireless earbuds are a much better option. In fact, they're Mashable's top pick for all-day wear and tech reporter Raymond Wong called them "better than AirPods in every way except one." That one exception? The price.

So, when the Powerbeats Pro see a hefty discount, it's worth taking advantage of. As of March 25, the Beats Powerbeats Pro are on sale for just $179.95 at Walmart in blue, black, and ivory. That's $70 off the usual cost and a much easier price to swallow that the usual $249.95.

The Powerbeats Pro have the same internal tech as AirPods (including Apple's H1 chip) and offer a much more secure fit. They have hooks that go over your ears to keep them in place, while a silicone tip snugly burrows in your ear. The design particularly makes workouts and runs more enjoyable, as they won't constantly slip out of your ears once you start sweating.

If you can get past the bulky charging case, the Powerbeats Pro are basically an improvement to the AirPods in every other category: sound, battery life (up to nine hours), and interface. They have physical volume buttons on both earbuds and the Beats logo doubles as a play/pause and Siri activation button. Plus, they have a "Fast Fuel" charging feature that delivers 1.5 hours of music playback with a five-minute charge and 4.5 hours with a 15-minute charge — which also slightly edges out the coveted AirPods.

Sure, $179.95 is still a lot to pay for a pair of earbuds, but unless you hold out for another potentially major Cyber Monday price drop (they dropped to $149.99 last year), it'll be tough to find a deal this good on the Powerbeats Pro.
