Nreal Air Smart Glasses Debut in UK

Nreal, a Chinese manufacturer of augmented reality (AR) smart glasses, released its Air smart glasses in British markets via its partnership with EE.

The glasses sell for £400 and debuted after the firm launched a massive global expansion of its products across European, North America, and Asian markets, shortly after resolving a lawsuit with Epic Games.

Meta Trials Project Aria Smart Glasses in London

Meta Platforms, formerly known as Facebook, will begin trials of its Project Aria AR smart glasses across the British capital, according to UK reports.

The Metaverse firm launched the beta testing to test the upcoming device’s spatial computing features and camera arrays, but will also impose security checks in place to protect the privacy of pedestrians.

Magic Leap, Globant Partner amid WEF 2022

Magic Leap also revealed a strategic partnership with Globant to boost the widespread adoption of AR technologies and prepare global firms for the future of work with XR solutions.

The partnership aims to increase AR adoption for businesses, which Peggy Johnson, Magic Leap’s Chief Executive, explained would rely on “seamless integration between hardware and software” to “deliver greater value for enterprise customers.”

ArborXR, Qualcomm Team Up for XR Deployments

ArborXR’s most recent partnership with Qualcomm Technologies will lead to major upgrades in the deployment of VR and AR headsets on a mass scale, the company revealed last week.

The firm’s device management software will assist large-scale deployments for original equipment manufacturers (OEMs), including at the early stages of development cycles for XR reference designs.
