Fallout 4 Coming to HTC Vive Next Year

E3 has already kicked off and the virtual reality gaming announcements are coming in hot.

Today during a press conference at E3, Bethesda announced that they will be releasing last year’s Fallout 4 for the HTC Vive headset in 2017.

The surprise announcement came when Bethesda CMO Pete Hines took the stage during an E3 keynote, referencing their early work on VR initiatives that appeared at E3 2012, running Doom 3. Since then, Bethesda has been quietly working on VR projects, finally revealing their work on a Fallout 4 VR version.

In addition to the Fallout 4 VR reveal, Bethesda will also be releasing VR content for Doom. Both Doom and Fallout 4 will be made available to demo on the show floor at E3. Where Fallout 4 should offer some gameplay, Doom is just a VR tour of what the game could be like with a headset on.

Bethesda Fallout 4 will be a 2017 HTC Vive Exclusive.
