‘Half-Life: Alyx’ Interactive Storybook Features 3D Studio Tour, Headcrab Sound Mixer, And More

Veteran game journalist Geoff Keighley shares a behind-the-scenes look at the development of HL:A.

Celebrated video game journalist, producer, and TV presenter Geoff Keighley is no stranger to the inner workings of Valve. Since launching his now-infamous The Final Hours video game documentary series in 1997, Keighley has provided in-depth coverage on a handful of iconic Valve games, including Half-Life, Half-Life 2, and Portal 2. In 2011, the series received a makeover in the form of a new digital storybook for the iPad.

Earlier today, Keighley revealed the latest entry into his long-running series, The Final Hours of Half-Life: Alyx, a 25,000 word multimedia storybook offering readers a behind-the-scenes look at the development of Half-Life: Alyx as well as a comprehensive breakdown of the creative process over at Valve. The digital-only storybook comes complete with a 3D studio tour, interactive puzzles, never-before-scene concept art, early prototypes of cancelled Valve games, and much, much more:
