Road to VR is running a survey with our partner Gamer Network to better understand our audience. Your participation is entirely optional and anonymous, but we’d be thrilled if you’d share your responses with us.

You may recall that Road to VR partnered with Eurogamer parent company Gamer Network in 2017. In an era where many publications are allowing paid and sponsored content to increasingly bleed into editorial, this partnership allows us to create an important firewall between editorial and advertising activities on Road to VR.

The Readership Survey takes about 10 minutes to complete and is shared across Gamer Network sister sites. It covers a range of topics: your gaming tastes and habits, what gaming equipment you own or intend to buy, which gaming sites you read, your other and so on. The survey is anonymous and we won’t be able to tell who you are by the answers you give.

The survey helps us build an accurate picture of our audience and what they care about, so we know who we’re talking to. It also helps make sure there’s advertising on the site that’s relevant, and in so doing makes it possible for us to continue to bring you great coverage.

So, if you have a moment, please consider doing us a favour and fill out the questionnaire. Thanks!

This survey goes on forever and has been mainly created to better target ads, not to create more suitable content which I would actually love to contribute to. You can do better.

Also why does the text box zoom in wildly when I am typing a comment on mobile.

Love the content otherwise, would pay in some other way (Patreon? Donation drive?)

Just remember that this got pushed down from the top, it likely wasn’t the choice of the writers.

    • As a VR blogger, I can tell you that earning money online is not easy. Blogging is my side gig, and I earn with Patreon+Google Ads+Amazon Affiliate much less than the time I’m investing in it.

People at Road To VR make this job as a living, so either they start doing sponsored posts (that can pay really a lot, but ruin the credibility), or they start a paid subscription (but 90% of readers won’t pay), or they have to use a professional ad network. Filling a survey to help them is not a big deal for me, if this means enjoying high-quality articles for a year.

        Thanks for great answers!

One question missing. I don’t buy as many games because of gamepass. Was only really buying vr but took advantage of the $27 annual subscription. Just bought Saints and Sinners, So these will be my future purchases for the year. Alyx, Doom Eternal, Cyberpunk 2077.

They lost me on how OLD and Annual Household Income. No wonder there is too much gaming found on the Road to VR.

FYI: Barely touches VR, only asks if you have one of few types of HMD’s and if you want to buy one soon. Do not touch piracy.
