Rick and Morty VR Coming to Comic-Con

The folks over at Owlchemy Labs, the guys who brought us Job Simulator on HTC Vive, have announced today that they’ll soon be releasing a new VR game based on Rick and Morty.

Unlike Job Simulator that made us all relive jobs in VR as a gourmet chef, an office worker, or maybe even a convenience store clerk, the Rick and Morty Simulator will let you play with a ton of objects all within Rick’s garage on the Vive.

Adult Swim — the network behind the show — posted the above 15-second teaser this afternoon and is really making us pumped to get our hands in the game. While the video doesn’t reveal much, the Rick and Morty Simulator is expected to let you jump through portals along with being able to interact with virtual elements in the lab, a game mechanic that we have grown quite familiar with from Job Simulator. You can expect to experiment with a chemistry set, throw things through windows and much much more.

Pairing Rick and Morty with Owlchemy Labs seems like a perfect match, with both teams collaboratively working together to create what I am sure will be a very popular VR game experience. As Owlchemy Labs shares in a blog post, “We first met serendipitously over our mutual love of Job Simulator, got drunk, ate Indian food, and then decided to make a video game together. And now we’re bringing the world of Rick and Morty to virtual life!”

Although there is no official release date for the VR simulator, they will be offering demos next week at San Diego Comic-Con.

July 21st-24th from 11am – 6pm
