Arizona Sunshine Gets Two Free Maps On PSVR Today

Nearly a year on from launch, UploadVR’s 2016 Game of the Year, Arizona Sunshine, is getting free new content on PlayStation VR (PSVR) today.

The zombie shooter, which first released on the Oculus Rift and HTC Vive on December 6th and came to Windows Mixed Reality and PSVR earlier this year, today gets two free maps for its Horde mode, in which anywhere between one and four players fend off waves of the undead. These maps released on the PC VR versions of the game earlier in the year.

The first is based on the Old Mine mission from the campaign. In these winding corridors, you’ll have to deal with the darkness, meaning it’s often a good idea to have a flashlight on-hand to light up your enemies with. Brilliantly, there’s only one flashlight at the start so your team will have to work together to make sure each corner is covered. You’ll also have to venture outside of safe zones to gather ammo and supplies, so you’re sure to be in for a few scares.

The second map is Undead Valley, which is an entirely new location. It’s a zombie-infested underground casino near Las Vegas with scattered supplies that keep you on the move. Some areas will be locked off, meaning you’ll need to hunt for keys to give yourself a little more space. Vertigo Games is also scrapping the traditional waves of zombies here, instead providing a constant stream of them.

Both of these areas are said to be bigger than any other Horde mode map.
