Weekend Downloads: New on Gear VR and Oculus Rift

Weekend Downloads is part of our weekly update to bring you the latest additions to the Samsung Gear VR and Oculus Rift.

We’re kicking off the weekend with some powerful new content from the United Nations with Beyond the Lake, a documentary account of sexual violence in the Democratic Republic of Congo. UNVR uses the power of immersive storytelling to create positive social change, shedding light on the lives of everyday people struggling to survive today’s gravest humanitarian crisis as immersive storytelling leads to empathy — and empathy leads to action.

Also, Oculus Store is having a huge Fall Sale, with up to 66% off select content for Gear VR and Rift through September 20.

There’s tons of other noteworthy Gear VR content this week, from FOLLOW MY LEAD: The Story of the 2016 NBA Finals, to flight shooting games and the narrow streets of Morocco. Something for everyone.
