Now in its 3rd year, IMMERSE (Formerly SEA-VR) will bring together all of the latest Learnings, Companies and Innovations in the Virtual, Augmented and Mixed Reality Industry
BELLEVUE, WA — SEA-VR LLC, Envelop VR and the Washington Interactive Network are proud to announce the third annual IMMERSE Summit, the Northwest’s premier conference and expo showcasing the best of the virtual, augmented and mixed reality industry. Formerly known as SEA-VR, IMMERSE is a one-day event on Tuesday, Oct. 11 at the Meydenbauer Center in Bellevue.

The day will kick-off with keynote presentations by Ford Motor Company’s Technical Director Elizabeth Baron, who will discuss how virtual reality is being used at Ford to realize efficient product design; AMD’s Corporate VP of Alliances, Content & VR Roy Taylor, who will touch on the advancements that need to take place in order for the immersive tech industry to realize its potential; and Dr. Sonya Kim, a Board-certified Emergency Physician and Founder of One Caring Team, a company dedicated to using virtual reality to help solve critical health issues in our senior population.

In addition to the three keynote presentations, there will be more than 20 break-out sessions in three different tracks: vision, business and developer. Attendees can learn more about the economics and future of the industry; see real-world case study examples of how companies in manufacturing, design, education, health and medicine, architecture, real estate, travel and entertainment industries are exploring and utilizing immersive technologies; and hear about the latest tools and skills needed to create, design and distribute compelling content in this area.

The expo floor will include more than 40 exhibits and demonstrations by some of the key players in the industry including Envelop VR, AMD, High Fidelity, VR Studios, VisiSonics, and many, many more. Companies in the Immersive Tech industry that are interested in getting in front of 1,000 plus attendees, including business leaders, investors, developers, content creators, engineers and researchers, should email immerse@envelopvr.com for more information about sponsorship and exhibiting opportunities.

Attendees will also have the chance to see early stage startups pitch live onstage to venture capital firms Madrona Venture Group, Vulcan Capital and Qualcomm Ventures. The winning start-up will receive a private meeting with VR/ AR specialists at each of the firms. Virtual reality start-ups interested in participating in the Shark Tank and/or receiving a complimentary table in the City of Bellevue sponsored Start-Up Arena, can learn more about the requirements and apply here by Sept. 16.

To purchase tickets to IMMERSE, go to the conference’s Eventbrite page. Early bird pricing of $85 will last until midnight on August 31st, after which ticket prices will go up to $100. Discount pricing is available for students and faculty.

Also, for those interested in getting hands on VR/AR experience a few weeks prior to IMMERSE, we encourage you to join the Seattle VR/AR Hack-a-thon on the weekend of Sept. 16-18 at the University of Washington’s Center for Education and Research in Construction.
