Infinite Minigolf Is A New PSVR And Vive Game From Zen Studios

VR might be a few breakthroughs away from making us feel like true action heroes or elite athletes, but you can already play a pretty convincing round of golf inside a headset, and Infinite Minigolf will soon let you do just that on PlayStation VR (PSVR) and HTC Vive.

This cartoonish new title is from Zen Studios, the Hungary-based developer behind a huge heap of pinball games that have released over the past few years. It’s coming to traditional screens too, but the PS4 and PC versions are getting VR support (no word on Oculus Rift support at this time). Check out the first trailer below.

Little is known about the VR integration so far, though it doesn’t take much to image what it might look like. The traditional game, however, will offer creative courses that players can make themselves and share online, throwing in obstacles that will have you carefully lining up shots. If the course creation options are as robust as possible this might be the last VR minigolf game you’ll ever need.

Infinite Minigolf is already available in Steam Early Access on PC, though Vive support won’t be available until full launch. If you think it sounds like your kind of thing then it might be worth investing early; it costs $14.99 in pre-release and the developer says that price will rise for full launch.

In the meantime there are plenty of other golf games you can check out in VR. Cloudlands: Minigolf is a great place to start.
