Intel Takes Us Inside to Reveal How HoloLens 2 Is Transforming Computer Chip Production

The enterprise applications powering the adoption of the HoloLens 2 are only just ramping up as developers continue to work with the still relatively new hardware.

But one tech giant, namely Intel, is showing off how it's already harnessing the features of the HoloLens 2 to transform its internal operations.

Don't Miss: Hands-On with the HoloLens 2, the New Best Augmented Reality Experience You Can Get

In a new video recorded on the factory floor of Intel's semiconductor fabrication facility in Ireland (its European headquarters), the company gives us a rare behind-the-scenes tour that precisely demonstrates how the high-end augmented reality device is being utilized.

Although the Intel staffer giving the tour doesn't mention the software by name, it appears that the Intel expert wearing the HoloLens 2 while making a repair is using Microsoft's Dynamics 365 Guides, an interactive application that can be used to guide workers through some of the most complex technical tasks.

And while this is a great example of the HoloLens 2 at work in the enterprise sector, this particular demonstration of Dynamics 365 Guides really just scratches the surface when it comes to the using fully immersive hand tracking and environmental understanding capabilities of the device.

Nevertheless, these kinds of basic, straightforward operations are likely what will build a solid AR foundation of best practices and pave the way for even more sophisticated interactions as the enterprise space becomes more familiar with everything the HoloLens 2 can do.

If you missed it, here's our hands-on review of the device. You can check out the full video below.
