Infinity Festival’s ART+TECH Exhibition Features Art in XR

Infinity Festival presents ART+TECH, a free online exhibit featuring art in augmented reality, virtual reality, artificial intelligence, and motion graphics.

Infinity Festival brings Hollywood and Silicon Valley together in a free online art exhibition, ART+TECH. It showcases the works of local and internationally-known artists. It also pushes the boundaries of art by merging burgeoning technologies like augmented reality, virtual reality, artificial intelligence, and motion graphics with various creative mediums.

The virtual events are held on the proprietary platform developed by event production company FNTECH. Every Wednesday and Thursday, until January 7, 2021, audiences can catch artworks powered by cutting-edge technologies. Admission is free of charge.

Infinity Festival: Immersive Technology Art Festival

Infinity Festival, which is now in its third year, provides fresh content and experiences for its audiences. Aside from 60+ premium content, the festival features tech exhibitions and screenings, panel discussions with industry-leading speakers, and innovation labs.

Moreover, the festival showcases fine art displays centered on emerging tech. From artificial intelligence, visual effects, wellness tech, and immersive experiences, the event has a wide array of tech additions for guests to explore.

Last year, Infinity Festival took over an entire block in Hollywood. Due to the COVID-19 pandemic, it’s exclusively online and free this year. For eight straight weeks, audiences can experience the best of the worlds of art and technology from their home.

Over 150 members from leading studios, talent agencies, and tech companies make up the festival’s programming committee. Along with Capitol Music Group and Capitol Royale, they’ve made the event come to life.

Capitol Royale is also bringing unique music experiences this year. For example, guests can enjoy weekly content premieres, thought leadership discussions, and Startup programming.

At the virtual Capitol Records Tower experience, guests can also explore the iconic landmark’s lobby, rooftop, and more. On top of that, every area showcases exclusive content, which guests can view live or on-demand.

Some of the creators and thought leaders joining the festival include Brie Larson and Joseph Gordon-Levitt. Jeff Orlowski, director of The Social Dilemma, and Justin Marks, co-writer of Top Gun: Maverick, will also be featured in the festival.

Taking Advantage of XR in Art

Augmented and virtual reality are gradually reshaping the art scene. The immersive technology is breathing life into some of the oldest museums and art houses around the world. Additionally, it’s making fine art less intimidating for people who don’t work in the creative field.

Equipped with extended reality, art institutions can make engaging and educational displays that people can interact with. In doing so, they can draw in more crowds and perhaps entice new audiences to visit. For instance, merging art with tech might attract tech-savvy crowds, even those who might not know much about fine art.

Furthermore, burgeoning technologies have the potential to help museums and other art institutions recover and thrive in a post-pandemic world.

Certainly, in the years to come, the art scene will have more technology-enabled exhibits like the Infinity Festival. It might be one of the first of its kind. However, it won’t be the last.

FNTECH’s new proprietary virtual event platform will make sure of that. According to the CEO of FNTECH, Jeremy Muir, they are thrilled to use this cutting-edge tool. At the same time, they are looking forward to future events, which will be hybrid experiences.

Starting next year, Infinity Festival aims to become a hybrid event. Simply put, it will be more broad-reaching and inclusive than ever before.
