"With HoloLens 2 Industrial Edition, customers can now use HoloLens 2 in restricted environments without modifying your space, protocols, or workflows," reads a statement released by Microsoft on Monday.

The new version of the device is particularly meaningful in the wake of the pandemic as a wide range of industries attempt to modify their workflows to accommodate some of the new challenges the past year presented. In addition to the enhanced device, Microsoft is also offering a two-year warranty as well as a rapid replacement option.

Microsoft's HoloLens 2 Industrial Edition is available for pre-order today for $4,950 and will ship in the spring.
