GRAMMY-Winning Singer H.E.R. To Broadcast Inaugural ‘Lights On Festival’ Performance On Oculus Venues

Catch the award-winning singer/multi-instrumentalist live in VR September 14th.

Oculus Venues continues to prove its worth as a live music streaming platform as Oculus today announced that GRAMMY award-winning singer/songwriter H.E.R. will be streaming her headlining performance at the first-ever “Lights On Festival” live via Oculus Venues this Saturday, September 14th.

Using either an Oculus Quest or Oculus Go headset, fans can watch the action live as the rising American R&B star kicks-off the Lights On Festival, a new live event hosted and curated by H.E.R. herself. Taking place this weekend in Concord, California. The live stream is being produced and broadcasted by Supersphere, VR live streaming specialists who handled Venues’ recent VR broadcast of Billie Eilish live in Spain.

“Concord Pavilion is the ultimate venue,” said H.E.R. in an official press release. “It is the perfect place to bring people from all over the Bay. I have many memories watching shows and DREAMING I’d be able to perform there. The Bay Area is my home… it’s a dream come true to host my festival there.”

H.E.R. will take the stage Saturday, September 14th at 9:30 pm PT. Other acts performing at the festival include R&B acts Jhené Aiko, Marc E. Bassy, Daniel Caesar, DaniLeigh, Lucky Daye, Rayana Jay, Kiana Ledé, Ari Lennox, LONR, Melii, bLAck pARty, Tone Stith, and Summer Walker, although H.E.R.’s headlining performance will be the only one broadcasted. 

Last week Oculus Venues hosted a VR live stream of 17-year-old pop star Billie Eilish’s Madrid, Spain tour stop, during which viewers could rage alongside other Eilish fans or enjoy the performance solo from a private space. Other past performances include A$AP Ferg, Chromeo, Everclear, The Head And The Heart, Kamasi Washington, Lupe Fiasco, Nathaniel Rateliff & The Night Sweats, and Tenacious D, just to name a few.
