The Biggest Rift, Vive and Windows VR Releases Of The Week 09/02/18

PC VR hits back with a strong list of releases this week. Whether you’re on Rift or Vive there’s a handful of great games to choose from, though sadly Windows VR support doesn’t really seem to be in the mix.

Zone of the Enders: The 2nd Runner – MARS, from Konami
Price: $29.99 (Rift, Vive)

The ZoE series has always been something of a cult classic, which makes this latest port of the second game a bit of a treat for VR fans. The entire thing can be played inside a VR headset for the first time, letting you command super-cool space mech, Jehuty in a full campaign that will pit you against other super-cool space mechs. The VR conversion isn’t perfect, but it’s definitely something long-time fans will want to check out.

Virtual Virtual Reality, from Tender Claws
Price: $19.99 (Rift, Vive)

Tender Claws’ brilliant existential take on VR is finally making its way onto the HTC Vive this week. You play as an AI that assists clients in a virtual universe, looking to get their highs in all manner of weird ways. Stick toasted bread to sentient butter, blow a tumbleweed across a canyon, and maybe even unearth the disturbing secrets that lay the foundation for the metaverse you explore.

Unknown Fate, from Marslit Games
Price: $14.99 (Vive)

Unknown Fate offers a full adventure campaign with optional support for the HTC Vive. Explore a fantastical new world in which you’ll complete mind-bending puzzled and face off against dark foes. There seems to be plenty of incredible sights to Unknown Fate, though we don’t know how it shapes up from a gameplay perspective.
