All Xbox One games with mouse and keyboard support

While the last-gen Xbox One isn’t as powerful as the Xbox Series X, it’s still a worthwhile console and has a huge library of great games.

If you’re looking to stay competitive while playing online multiplayer games versus next-gen console and PC players or are just looking to avoid some wonky console interface that’s difficult to navigate, you may want to try using a keyboard and mouse with your Xbox One. A keyboard and mouse will give you better precision than your standard Xbox One controller so you can keep up in cross-platform games without shelling out money for a top gaming PC.

These are all the games that support a mouse and keyboard on Xbox One.

You can play with a mouse and USB keyboard if your game supports it. First, plug the mouse and keyboard into the USB cable ports on the Xbox One. Next, go to the Settings menu and select Kinect & Devices, at which point you’ll have options for swapping button mapping and configuring the pointer speed of your mouse.

It should also be noted that both a wireless mouse and a wireless keyboard are compatible with the Xbox One.

Your gaming keyboard should work immediately after plugging it into the USB port on your Xbox One, as well, with certain game pad functions automatically mapped to keys. The keyboard commands are pretty straightforward and easy to adjust to, like using Enter as the A button and the arrow keys substituting for the directional keys on a typical game controller.

What about using an adapter?

Adapters do exist to bridge support for all Xbox One games, like the IOGear Kaliber Gaming KeyMander 2. You can play all games on an Xbox console using these adapters, as long as they are compatible with your keyboard and mouse, but there’s a catch or two you may not like. The quality can deteriorate if you’re using adapters, leading to delays in gameplay. If you’re playing a first-person shooter game, using an adapter can interfere with your shooting accuracy.

Using an adapter for your keyboard and mouse may give you an unfair advantage over regular game control players, many console game manufacturers have realized. Consequently, some console games prohibit the use of adapters, while some restrict the use of mice and keyboards altogether to maintain a fair playing field for all users. Before you play a popular game that involves opponents or teamwork, test and see if you can use adapters or if the game does not support them.

The best games on Xbox Game Pass for right now (April 2024)

As the Xbox Game Pass program has grown, so has our list of the best games on Xbox Game Pass. After the launch of the Xbox Series X, Microsoft has doubled down on Game Pass, now offering well over 350 games on the console alone. To help you through option paralysis, we rounded up the top games on Microsoft's subscription platform.

Many titles are available on Xbox and PC, and some even have cross-save support. Most of the games are available for streaming on mobile, too, as long as you have Game Pass Ultimate. The Game Pass library is also constantly changing, so check out our monthly guide for addition and removal announcements.

Xbox Game Pass loses some horror greats, but gains a kid-friendly racing game
A custom car built drives around Lego 2K Drive.

We've learned what games will come to Xbox Game Pass over the first half of this April, and leading the batch is Lego 2K Drive, a Lego racing game that's a solid alternative to the Forza Horizon games that are also available on Microsoft's subscription service.

Lego 2K Drive was released in May 2023 and is an enjoyable racing game where players can build their own Lego vehicles and race throughout several open worlds. It found the middle ground between the likes of Mario Kart and Forza Horizon and thrives in that space, even if the microtransactions can be a little aggressive for a game aimed at children. Playground Games has not yet confirmed if another Forza Horizon game is in the works at this time, so Xbox fans can play this game to fill that void until a new one is announced.

The main character of Tales of Kenzera: Zau stands with two elemental items.

The Nintendo Switch is one of the most popular consoles Nintendo has ever produced, with a wide variety of games to choose from and plenty of unique features. We’ve already gotten to play new entries across the Zelda, Super Mario, and Pokémon series on Nintendo Switch, but there are still plenty of great games on the way for the hybrid console. These include exclusive games developed internally by Nintendo, as well as third-party titles and ports of games that are also available on other platforms.

Here's our list of the best upcoming Nintendo Switch games for 2024 and beyond. Of course, some titles without release windows could skip the Switch entirely and wind up on Nintendo Switch 2 (or whatever it ends up being called) And if you're looking at future releases on multiple consoles, don't forget to check out what's upcoming on PS5, Xbox Series X, and PC this year.
Upcoming Switch games 2024
The games listed below either have 100% confirmed release dates or solid release windows that we expect them to hit this year. Anything that's up in the air due to more vague launch predictions or previous delays will be listed below confirmed launches.
