Shooters are some of the most popular games that you’ll often see pop up in the virtual reality space, but ones that focus on sword fighting are a bit harder to come by. Fortunately, if you’re looking for a new game that will allow you to hack and slash like Zorro himself, a new title is on the horizon for you later this month.

Schell Games, the team behind projects like HistoryMaker VR and I Expect You To Die, announced today that its VR sword fighting game Until You Fall will be fully released later this month on PlayStation VR and Oculus Quest. Initially released over a year ago in early access, the game has since grown in the months since to the point where Schell Games is ready to let it loose in its finalized form on September 29.

It’s worth noting that even though Until You Fall will be releasing in its 1.0 iteration on Quest and PS VR, that won’t hold true for other platforms. Schell Games says it is first bringing the full experience of Until You Fall to these VR headsets first with the full launch on others said to be coming at some point in 2020.

Until You Fall puts you in control of a Rune Knight, which is a sword-wielding character that must “defend what remains of their homeland Rokar against a horde of magically empowered enemies.” As you continue on in the game, you’ll unlock new gear that is gained by dispatching of foes. The whole experience is also backed by a synthwave score which will allow you to do battle to some pretty dank beats.

“We are excited to bring Until You Fall to PS VR and Oculus Quest,” said Until You Fall Project Director Dave Bennett in an accompanying press release. “Although the game is in Early Access on other platforms, we have worked tirelessly to bring the 1.0 version of the game directly to these two platforms. We look forward to new audiences trying the game for the very first time and becoming masters of their own combat style.”

While Until You Fall sounds pretty darn fun on its own, Schell Games says that a focus on fitness is one of the key points of the game, too. Being able to offer players the ability to “up their fitness levels” through intense gameplay that features tons of arm and hand movements is something that the studio highlighted in its announcement today. Plus, with Until You Fall being a run-based game, there is a lot of replayability on offer here, ensuring that, if you’re someone who is looking to play the game to stay in shape, the experience won’t get stale quickly.

Until You Fall will retail for $24.99 on both PlayStation VR and Oculus Quest when it releases at the end of this month. In addition, the game is also available right now over on Steam for $19.99 in its early access form and is compatible with Oculus Rift, Valve Index, HTC Vive, and Windows Mixed Reality headsets. Schell says more information on the 1.0 launch of the game for these platforms will be coming soon.
