Samsung launches new Galaxy Note 20 5G and Galaxy Z Flip 5G colors

Samsung is bringing a few snazzy new colors to some of its most popular devices. Both the Samsung Galaxy Note 20 5G and the Galaxy Z Flip 5G are getting new colors for the holiday season.

The Galaxy Note 20 will now be available in a new Mystic Red color, which joins the current lineup of Mystic Bronze, Mystic Green, and Mystic Gray. The Galaxy Z Flip 5G, on the other hand, will now be available in Mystic White, which joins the Mystic Bronze and Mystic Gray color options currently available.

The Samsung Galaxy Note 20 5G is the more consumer-friendly model in the Note line, slotting below the Note 20 Ultra in price thanks to a few cutbacks to its hardware. The device offers an impressively large 6.7-inch display with a hole-punch cutout for the front-facing camera. On the back, there’s a triple-lens camera, with one 12-megapixel main sensor, a 64MP sensor with telephoto lens, and a 12MP sensor with an ultrawide lens. Under the hood, the phone offers a Qualcomm Snapdragon 865+ processor, with 8GB of RAM and either 128GB or 256GB of storage, making it one of the more powerful phones on the market.

Although it’s cheaper than the Note 20 Ultra, it still comes in at $1,000 — however, with trade-ins, you can get it for as little as $450, plus you could get a $100 Samsung gift card.

The Galaxy Z Flip 5G is a little more interesting. The phone is a clamshell-style foldable phone, and it also has a 6.7-inch display, however, it’s a little taller and skinnier than on the Galaxy Note 20. On the back, you’ll get a dual-sensor camera, with a 12-megapixel wide lens and a 12-megapixel ultrawide lens. Under the hood, you’ll find the same specs as the Galaxy Note 20, except there’s no option for 128GB of storage — only 256GB. The phone normally costs $1,300, but with an eligible trade-in, you can get up to $1,000 off, bringing the cost to only $300 in total. That’s an impressive price, though you’ll have to trade in a modern phone to get that.

The new colors are available in relatively limited quantities, according to Samsung, so you’ll need to act quickly if you’re interested . Maybe a new color is just what you needed to make that upgrade.

In the half-decade we've had folding phones, they have operated at opposite ends of the spectrum. We’re still a few months away from both the Galaxy Z Fold 6 and Z Flip 6, but the rumor mill is steadily churning so far. Here’s what we know about the Samsung Galaxy Z Flip 6 so far.

Have T-Mobile? Your 5G service is about to get much faster
U.S. map illustrating T-Mobile's 5G Ultra Capacity network expansion.

T-Mobile’s 5G network already offers unmatched 5G speeds and coverage throughout the U.S., with 98% of the population covered by some flavor of T-Mobile’s 5G and more than 90% benefiting from its higher-speed 5G Ultra Capacity (5G UC) network.

That translates to the “Uncarrier” taking first place in 5G performance in 46 U.S. states. However, T-Mobile isn’t content to sit at 90% coverage. It’s been working steadily to increase the footprint of its 5G UC network to reach even further, and is bringing those top speeds to areas previously served only by its lower-frequency 5G Extended Range network.
