One of the nation’s top universities will be bringing educational VR content to its students.

EON Reality, the global leader in Augmented and Virtual Reality-based knowledge and skills transfer for industry and education, announces that King Mongkut’s Institute of Technology Ladkrabang (KMITL) in Thailand will be the site of the newest Interactive Digital Center.

The Center will enable KMITL to continue its growth as one of the top universities in Thailand and add new functionalities like a VR Innovation Academy and educator certification programs. With it, the school can perform world-class R&D activities focusing on the use of educational and industrial AR and VR training for while also designing, developing and delivering immersive educational experiences for its students in AR and VR across multiple modalities.

Along with the educational VR development resources and entrepreneurship hub, the Center will provide access to EON-XR to KMITL’s students and faculty even before the physical location is opened on the university’s campus in eastern Bangkok in early 2021. Between EON Reality’s cloud-based service and the availability of high-end educational technology at the physical location, KMITL will receive a seamless delivery of AR and VR learning experiences in a wide range of formats, from existing smartphones and tablets, to dedicated Virtual Reality and Augmented Reality headsets.

““We are very excited about the new Center in Thailand, as we believe it’ll be a great way to offer our educational VR and AR solutions to people who need them. This follows our core belief of disseminating knowledge to as many students, educators, employees and employers as possible and goes hand-in-hand with the Global Emergency Initiative we launched earlier this year to help academic institutions improve their remote capabilities until it’s safe to fully return to classrooms. I believe this will be the first step in a very long and successful partnership for both EON Reality and KMITL.””

Dan LejerskarFounder of EON Reality

Considering KMITL’s status as one of the top universities in Thailand, the institute will also be able to help the surrounding area and growing industrial economy. Through partnerships with both small and large businesses, both EON Reality and KMITL will continue to expand their professional and academic networks throughout Southeast Asia and beyond.
