PlayStation VR Demo Disc 3 is now available on the PlayStation Store, including demos for nine hit VR titles.

Like the previous two demo discs, the third installment is free of charge. You can check out the PlayStation Store listing here.

Games on disc three include:

  • ASTRO BOT Rescue Mission (JAPAN Studio)
  • Battlezone (Rebellion)
  • Headmaster (Frame Interactive)
  • Job Simulator (OWLCHEMY LABS)
  • Moss (Polyarc)
  • KITCHEN (Capcom CO., LTD.)
  • SUPERHOT VR (SUPERHOT Team)
  • The Persistence (Firesprite)
  • Thumper (Drool)

It’s been quite a while since Demo Disc 2 was released, launching on the store in November 2017. All of the games listed above seem to be repeats from disc number two and number one, excluding Astro Bot Rescue Mission and Superhot VR. Free is free though, so we’re not complaining.

In total, the number of unique titles you can play on all three discs combined is 27. Here’s the full list below:

  • Allumette (Penrose)
  • ASTRO BOT Rescue Mission (JAPAN Studio)
  • Battlezone (Rebellion)
  • Dino Frontier (Uber Entertainment)
  • DriveClub VR (SIE WWS)
  • Eve: Valkyrie (CCP Games)

I honestly think it’s really cool that Sony is doing this in this day and age. And it’s a really solid selection of games too. Much respect.

I think all of these demos were available on Sony store for a long time.. they didnt add any new demos or something what is otherwise unavailable to try.

Still, this is all good stuff. And for those people who don’t have Astro Bot Rescue Mission and Superhot VR, it’s a great little package.

I’m disappointed that Sony is not producing more exclusive but high-quality short experience compilations like Playstation VR Worlds which is one the best incentive that got me into the PSVR they’ve put out.

Having countless PC headsets, and also just simply a PC, Playstation’s main assets wether for PS4 or PSVR is their curated and optimised exclusives (save for that awful DriveClub translation)…
