The expansion on self-directed learning features full courses from over a dozen of the university’s schools.

EON Reality, the global leader in Augmented and Virtual Reality-based knowledge and skills transfer for industry and education, announces a brand new expansion of the VR and AR self-directed learning initiative at University for Business and Technology (UBT) in Kosovo.

Previously one of the first universities to join EON Reality’s self-directed learning movement, the latest development from UBT marks a massive step forward in the development of a global curriculum for a wide variety of subjects on EON-XR.

With 20,000 lessons and 141 full university-level courses created by more than 8,000 faculty and excelling students across dozens of subjects and 17 different schools, users around the world will be able to benefit from the success of one of EON Reality’s top international EON-XR Centers. These lessons include more than 120,000 newly created assets on EON-XR and cover everything from architecture and engineering to lab sciences, advanced mathematics, and even more arts-related topics like conceptual photography and studio design.

The diversity and amount of courses are also extremely beneficial for the Global Emergency Initiative, EON Reality’s primary pandemic response with the goal of providing as many lessons and resources as possible to the people who need them most. Combining the University for Business and Technology’s VR and AR development efforts with those of the other members of EON Reality’s global network who have also joined the self-directed learning movement — such as the Aldini Valeriani Institute in Italy, Al Akhawayn University in Morocco, and the University of the Western Cape in South Africa — EON-XR’s library of turnkey lessons and courses is already rapidly expanding across subjects and languages.

Along with EON Reality’s earlier announcement of the removal of the paywall on EON-XR as a means to assist schools, governments, and businesses struggling through this difficult time, EON-XR’s rapid growth both in content and users has helped to complete its transformation into an industry-defining tool. With the possibility of as much as a few years of social distancing in the future, the company hopes to be able to help users in every corner of the globe by the time the pandemic and its aftermath are a distant memory.

“The latest addition of these fantastic courses proves that EON-XR has been a huge success for students and educators around the world. I am beyond excited to see where we can go with this in the future, and I believe that the usefulness of EON-XR will only expand as the world gets more comfortable with learning and working from a distance. This is only the beginning, and it’s already making a huge impact in academia.”
