Arizona Sunshine Available On Quest Now, Post-Launch DLC To Be Cross-Buy

Arizona Sunshine is now available on the Oculus Quest, and Vertigo Games have confirmed their post-launch content plans for the platform, which will bring all existing DLC and updates to the game over the next few months.

The Quest version launches today with simply the base game content – all updates and paid DLC that are already out on the PC VR version of the game will launch progressively on the Quest between now and April 2020.

The Quest content schedule is as follows:

  • 2 Handed Weapons Update – Free, December 2019
  • Old Mine Update – Free, January 2020
  • Undead Valley Update – Free, February 2020
  • Dead Man DLC – $2.49, March 2020
  • The Damned DLC – $4.99, April 2020

Vertigo Games also confirmed in a second tweet that the DLC will support cross-buy between the Quest and Rift versions of the game, even though the base game itself does not support cross-buy between Rift and Quest. “If you already own the Dead Man DLC or The Damned DLC on Oculus Store they will be available to you for free when they drop!” It’s a similar situation to Beat Saber.

Still, the previous statement the developers gave on cross-buy support for the base game stated the DLC wouldn’t support this feature. “One of the tough decisions we had to make was to not offer cross-buy as to support the development of this version and it’s DLC,” the studio wrote. “The game has been rebuilt from the ground up for this release.”

We guess something changed. Nonetheless, even if only the DLC is cross-buy, that’s better than nothing for owners of both versions of the game.
