Two new PlayStation VR bundles announced last month are now available. The new PSVR bundles focus on different player tastes, each including two games for the same price as previous one-game bundles.

This time around you get two games in the box; each bundle includes one highly rated PSVR game and a newly launched game. Both bundles launched the same day as the new game included in the box.

PlayStation VR Bundle – CREED: Rise to Glory + SUPERHOT VR

The first bundle includes the PS Move controllers and two games that require them, the recently released boxing game CREED: Rise to Glory (as a physical disc) and the Matrix-esque SUPERHOT VR (as a download voucher). Together the included games would normally cost $55. See our review of Creed here.

The bundle is priced at $350 USD / $450 CAD and launched September 25th.

PlayStation VR Bundle – ASTRO BOT Rescue Mission + Moss

The second bundle eschews the PS Move controllers, as the two included games are played with the PS4 gamepad: the just released ASTRO BOT Rescue Mission (as a physical disc) and the acclaimed Moss (as a download voucher), the latter of which has still managed to hang onto its incredibly rare five star rating in the PlayStation Store. Together the included games would normally cost $60. See our Astro Bot review here.

This bundle is cheaper than the other (given the lack of PS Move controllers), priced at $300 USD / $380 CAD, it launched October 2nd.

Owners can always add the PS Move controllers after the fact, though they’re usually priced higher [Amazon] than the $50 difference between the two bundles.

Both bundles of course include the slightly newer PSVR model, which has more conveniently placed earbuds. Both also include the free PSVR Demo Disc 2.0 which has VR 13 demos. Owners can also download the original PSVR Demo Disc for free, which offers another 18 VR demos (though there’s some overlaps with Demo Disc 2.0).

The prior wave of PSVR bundles came in Skyrim VR, Doom, and GT Sport flavors; it seems that the company is phasing them out. Expect to see these two new bundles discounted when the holiday shopping season approaches later this year.

Good to see a bundle that’s for more traditionally controlled VR games too.

I hope VR manufacturers and developers continue to [additionally] make and support VR games that use more traditional controls and controllers. Some of the best games I’ve played in VR used a normal Xbox One controller, and I feel it’s still a totally valid and indeed fun way to play games in VR.

I was kinda disappointed when Oculus stopped bundling the Xbox One controller with the Rift.

VR is not about button-mashing, dude. It’s about putting you right there, grabbing objects with your virtual hands, not being there and holding a traditional controller throughout to just push buttons.

You’re the kind of person who is bad for VR.

  • A nice idea

Astro Bot and Moss is easily the better bundle.

      …for you

      ⬆️You dropped that⬆️

It’s a great bundle, for sure they both are, but pressed I’d definitely take Creed+Superhot.
