Elden Ring is the latest release by FromSoftware, known primarily for the Dark Souls series and Bloodborne. Their signature appeal has widely become around the difficulty (but fairness) of their combat, obtuse narratives, and wide range of customization when it comes to how your character plays. All of that is here in Elden Ring but now in a vast open world. And let me tell you, this game is massive. If you’ve been curious about the hype but hesitant to drop $60, well, you’ll be happy to know the game is finally on sale. You can save $14 on the digital version for Xbox over at Eneba with the promo code ERXUS.

Halo has just passed its 20th birthday and as such we are entering a small renaissance for Master Chief. Halo Infinite went open-world and breathed new life into the series. The rumored film adaptation has bounced around and now found its home on Paramount+ as a full series instead. But most importantly, Razer released a set of accessories inspired by Spartan 117 himself—including a wireless headset. It’s based on one of Razer’s most popular models, but given a slick sage green skin with UNSC and 117 insignias plastered on. And they’re all on sale. And it’s $20 off over at the Microsoft Store.

To commemorate 20 years of Xbox, Microsoft has released a special edition controller with a transparent black shell, vibrant green highlights, and a big fat 20 stuck to the corner of it. It’s actually a very nice-looking controller. I miss the days when transparent tech ruled the gaming landscape. Maybe all it took was this 20-year wait for Xbox to get on board. Just staring at this controller, I can hear the Xbox startup sound that first played for me back when I managed to convince my parents that an 11-year-old can and should play Halo. Relive and cherish your favorite Xbox memories from the last 20 years and do so while saving $7 because that’s how much it’s discounted for right now.

Well there, pardner. It’s the end of the line for you. Here’s what you and me’s is gonna do. We go to the town square and stand back to back. Then we each take 10 paces. At the end of your paces, you’ll find a laptop and you can use it to purchase Red Dead Redemption 2 for $28 at Amazon. I reckon it’s the most rootinest tootenst cowboy vidya game on this side of the Mississippi. While you do that, I’m gonna go take a bath. Anyways, then one of us will shoot the other and kill them. Forgot about that part. Actually, scratch that, let’s just play Red Dead Online together, amigo.

If you haven’t played Skyrim at this point in your life, I’m frankly impressed. Bethesda’s RPG classic is difficult to avoid. No matter where you go, it feels like Skyrim is there lurking. Boot up any console? Skyrim. Open the Nintendo Switch eShop? Skyrim. Turn on your phone? Skyrim. This is Skyrim’s world and we are living in it. If you somehow have not played Skyrim yet, you can get the anniversary edition for $30 at Amazon. What can I say? It’s Skyrim. You know it, you love it.

Ever want to ride a bike downhill across Zion? What about gliding across in a freaking jetpack? Riders Republic’s massive multiplayer open-world lets you hop in and ski, snowboard, bike, or fly through its beautiful national parks. Enjoy the nice serene views alone or join the chaos of 50 people on bikes toppling over each other on a single narrow path. It was only released a couple ago, but Amazon already has the game on PS5, PS4, and Xbox consoles for just $25.

Halo Infinite SteelBook Edition | $48

Halo is back, baby. The multiplayer feels better than it has in the last decade and the switch to open-world, while still having a few hiccups, has been a welcomed change of pace for the series. This in my opinion is the first good Halo game since 343 Studios took over from Bungie. Even though you can access the game on Game Pass, collectors, it may pique your interest to know there is a SteelBook case available when purchasing the physical version. It’s also down to just $48 at the moment.

Xbox Series S – Fortnite & Rocket League Bundle | $300

The Xbox Series X remains to be a difficult find, but the Series S is still popping up every so often. Right now you can get a special Fortnite / Rocket League bundle for the same price as the console alone. You might be asking yourself, “What use is a deal that bundled with two free games?” Good question. Since the games are free, this bundle instead includes a special set of cosmetics—the Midnight Drive Pack—as well as 1,000 Fortnite V-Bucks and 1,000 Rocket League Credits. Each of those is roughly $10 of in-game currency. The console itself isn’t branded at all in a special color or anything to make it clear it was from this bundle. So even if these games don’t interest you but you want a new Xbox Series S, you might as well go with this option as it’s the same price as the console by itself. You can always give the bonuses to a buddy.

What’s there to really say, folks? This is the latest in a long line of NBA2K games. You know what’s to be expected here—some better-looking graphics and animations, an updated roster, the usual stuff. The career mode also appears to be set on a giant cruise ship built specifically for basketball so that’s fun. The important thing though is the game is on sale right now. That’s right you can get it for Xbox One for just $20 or on Xbox Series X for $25.

Guardians of the Galaxy | $30

Square Enix’s new adaption of Guardians of the Galaxy follows their middling take on Marvel’s Avengers. While the latter brought on some mixed feelings about a decent single-player experience with a poor attempt at a live service game, Guardians of the Galaxy drops any and all live service elements in favor of a single-player story taking on the role of solely Star-Lord. And it’s actually looking pretty dang good! As Captain of the Guardians, you will be making decisions regarding squabbles among the crew in a morality system not dissimilar to Mass Effect or a Telltale game. What isn’t a moral dilemma is purchasing the game for only $30.

Battlefield 2042 | $30

The cinematic trailer revealing the game fired off on all cylinders. Battlefield 2042 is massive, packed with vehicles, and breaking new ground for the series with cataclysmic weather effects. It’s also pretty freaking cool to see DICE leaning into the awesome stunts players have been performing in the current game like transferring from a quad to a helicopter in midair as well as launching yourself out of a jet to fire off an RPG only to safely re-enter said jet before it falls out of the sky. If that doesn’t have you sold, Battlefield 2042 allows for up to 128 players in a match. If you’d like to hop in on the action, you can get the game for $30 off its normal price.
