Same price as last year =/= deals

  • iThinkMyCatIsAFlea

Before spending money on any Oculus products or software, please Google Oculus Trump.

    • Skippy76

Why? Because they fired Palmer for giving $100k to Trump?
I think that was a smart move!

      • I’m certain a liberal would think that was ok, to fire somebody and go after their job, their family, they very existence, for saying anything their party politically disagreed with. This is the reason you people must be stopped. You are fascists.

        • prowlhome

          ^^^^^
Literally doesn’t understand the word liberal or fascist or possibly existence. Funniest threatening comment on here.

Well done Walt. Back to the Trump Troll hole with you.

          • Steve

Walter used liberal and fascism correctly. Here, you can read about fascism on this page: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Fascism.

          • prowlhome

So Steve, you are equating the the ousting of a founder because of shit posting ( and the other reasons I mentioned – $500m law suit for stealing tech – you have completely ignored, to the worst events in the past 100 years. Posting a wiki page just proves my point you don’t understand and your great grandparents would probably be yanking your tightie whities right and spanking you for not understanding history.

          • Bryan Ischo

This is not a political website. Welcome to my blocklist.

          • prowlhome

            Everything is political Bryan.

      • Steve

I’m sure the same should have been done to those who donated to Hillary? Or is this a case of double standards and the dream of eliminating freedom in this country, the imposition of a dictatorship and the crushing of freedom of thought?

        • prowlhome

You mean trump right? That’s exactly what he’s trying to do

          • Steve

            LOL

    • gothicvillas

      Not sure what you mean?

    • Andrew Jakobs

Oh no not you again…. stop spewing your political views here, this is a techsite, not a political riot site..

      • Get Schwifty!

Just block him. This would be like someone still repeating Watergate or the Clinton’s escapades over and over and over. It now serves no purpose.

    • popupblocker

      No…

Luckey was the backer of a conservative group dedicated to “shit-posting” anti-Hillary Clinton memes. Not discussion – posting fake news.
Luckey’s appearance on the cover of Time was awful and he signed it off.
Oculus was accused of stealing the technology its product is based on and Facebook paid a further $500 million in legal costs. Main reason.
Was replaced as the leader of his own company by a more experienced executive.

Please get your facts straight… oh no you can’t you believe anything Trumpard says.

      • Get Schwifty!

It’s old news, we all know about. He just spams it like some religious attitude. Grow up, it’s the usual world activities.

      • Steve

LOL. Who cares that someone was bashing Hillary? There’s gobs of

people who spend their days slamming president Trump. It’s called being a part of a free country.

These people like iThinkMyCatIsAFlea and popupblocker live and breath hatred for Trump. I am so surprised at the number of Trump haters that also hate freedom. They dream of banning all “dissident” thoughts. Reminds me of the book Fahrenheit 451.

Perhaps you both could control yourselves and keep to tech talk?

BTW, “popupblocker” looks like a sockpuppet account. Just my opinion.

        • prowlhome

Of course I hate him. He is the worst human alive and people who cannot see that need educating. Unlike the kids who are having their education ripped out from under them under Trump… yet he thinks Apple should be building iPhones in Mississippi with zero skills and no training. Tech enough for you?

A sock puppet account assumes I am also here in another more serious guise. Yup I am Luckey Palmer.

    • USPatriot

Can we keep the political crap off these forums please? There is enough of that garbage being spewed everywhere else. Cant we just have one place where we dont have to deal with that and just enjoy our favorite tech?

    • brandon9271

Why are you still here? Why haven’t you been banned? We all know that Palmer went against the group-think Borg of silicon valley and NOBODY FUCKING CARES. Actually, it made me like the guy even MORE

  • q23main

Doesn’t Facebook see whats Sony doing? Great deals on PSVR everywhere you look. I really hope they knock the price to 300€, because that’s my limit, and I’m ready for Rift!

    • brandon9271

PSVR is way cheaper to make. It’s crap compared to Rift.

  • I guess Oculus feels like they don’t really need to compete at this point. They have the best product at an already killer price. VIVE is pricing themselves out of the market and the WMR isn’t quite up to snuff… at least as far as the market is concerned. I haven’t used the WMR headsets, but I can say from experience that the VIVE is painful to use. So HEAVY!

Even though I like the Oculus, I’d prefer they felt more market pressure. I need a next-gen HMD with better resolution! I’m chasing single pixels in War Dust. :p

  • JesuSaveSouls

At regular price of 400 it’s still a great price and quality product.

  • wcalderini

Please. There are other places for these discussions. (Political) Can we TRY to keep on target here? It’s one of the few places I can come that does not have an agenda, and where every post does not spiral down the political sewer. No matter what your politics we are all VR fans. Let’s just leave it that way.
