The partnership includes groundbreaking EON-XR solutions for American School of Bombay students and faculty

IRVINE, CA, March 8, 2022 – EON Reality, the global leader in Augmented and Virtual Reality-based knowledge and skills transfer for industry and education, announces a new agreement with the American School of Bombay to expand the growing knowledge metaverse in India.

The American School of Bombay has been a leader in technology-based learning since becoming a “laptop school” in 2001. For over 20 years, American School of Bombay has integrated new technologies into their education at every grade level, helping students develop digital literacy and critical thinking skills through mobile devices, wearable technologies, 3D printers, and more. American School of Bombay also uses a growing collection of educational software in teaching all school subjects and has begun implementing gamification to impact student motivation and learning. Given the strength of their tech history, American School of Bombay is a natural addition to EON Reality’s international community. Now, with access to world-class XR solutions, their classrooms will move into the future of interactive teaching, regardless of subject, class size, or the many other factors impacting schooling.

“Partnering with the American School of Bombay will illustrate that implementing EON-XR solutions to students early in their academic careers can radically impact their lives and the future of technology,” says EON Reality founder Dan Lejerskar. “When a school with American School of Bombay’s rich history of tech-focused learning can contribute to the knowledge metaverse at multiple grade levels, the possibilities for its growth are boundless. I look forward to seeing our relationship develop and all the ways their students will excel and eventually reshape our digital world.”

With the new EON-XR delivery and welcome to the knowledge metaverse, American School of Bombay’s educators will offer “hands-on” training to their students without the usual logistical restrictions in many forms of engineering and vocational studies. With lifelike 3D models at their students’ virtual fingertips, professors can create immersive and interactive lessons for those on campus as well as those studying remotely. Should American School of Bombay students return to fully remote learning, these lessons will be of even greater value.

As one of EON Reality’s many partners in India, American School of Bombay will be essential users of EON-XR and eventually contributors to EON Reality’s global network and the knowledge metaverse. Over 80 academic institutions have become creators and curators for EON’s knowledge metaverse in recent months, and each creates and shares experiences based on their areas of expertise. The long-term hope is that faculty and students of American School of Bombay will provide their own additions once they’ve adapted to the technology that will benefit students from grade school to high school and beyond.
